European Cultural Academy
Gain practical skills in the heart of the art world
The aim of the European Cultural Academy is to enhance knowledge and advance your career in Art, Architecture and other Creative Industries.

This is an open-enrollment non-degree study program for students of all ages and levels with an interest in Art and Architecture.

Start dates are July 10, 17 or 24 and August 7, 14 or 21.
Program highlights
Three different week-long modules. Each week has a specific focus and can also be booked single.
July 10 / August 7

Contemporary Art
Academics, researchers and other experts from the art world present different perspectives and critical contemporary issues that confront professionals today. In addition, we visit relevant exhibitions and cultural institutions in Venice. Below are some of the topics that will be discussed:
- Exhibition planning: financing, design, setup
- Contemporary curatorial practices
- Working in art today: issues and realities
- Communication in art


July 17 / August 14

Venice Biennale

Get to know how national pavilions and collateral events are created as part of Venice Biennale. From the first thought until the actual building of an exhibition. You will learn the challenges that participants and curators face and what impact the participation might have on your career. Extensive Venice Biennale visits are included in this week.
July 24 / August 21

Art Practices
Being it an exhibition project, a publication or another cultural event, with the support of our team you realize a project and have an opportunity to present it to a wider audience.

Classes take place 5 days a week, from 10 to 1 pm in our palazzos. Afternoons from 2 to 6 pm are reserved for workshops or guided visits.

Accommodation is available at additional cost.
